Use TMS therapy to improve your MDD
We use transcranial magnetic stimulation to stimulate points within the brain with a magnetic field to increase neural activity. We target the specific area that is underactive using an electromagnetic coil, giving you local results. The side effects of TMS are very limited and after treatment, you can go about your day as usual.
As you continue your treatment plan, you will notice results over time. Many patients see significant improvement in their depressive symptoms or behavioral health conditions within a few weeks of care. The total treatment time lasts approximately seven weeks. Transcranial magnetic stimulation is an FDA-approved treatment for depression, among other conditions including but not limited to OCD, PTSD, and Anxiety. It has been approved for MDD treatment since 2008 and is becoming more and more accessible through health insurance coverage.
Cutting-edge research about TMS
The National Library of Medicine has a study published on the efficacy of transcranial magnetic stimulation for major depressive disorder. The study showed improvement in patients attaining remission when using TMS therapy. Additionally, according to Rush University Medical Center’s research, patients had a better chance of preventing relapses in symptoms after treatment.
