It is currently operating and serves as an emergency resource for those experiencing suicidal thoughts and mental health challenges. When you call 988, you will be connected directly with a mental health counselor.

Finally, mental health emergencies are receiving recognition and resources are being allocated to prevent unnecessary tragedies.
